Edgehill is an interurban community within Barrie, consisting of homes, apartments and condominiums, as well as businesses, storefronts, and community structures.

In terms of schools, there are a few in the area, for both catholic (The Good Shepherd) and public education (Andrew Hunter), and elementary and secondary students (St. Joan of Arc & Barrie North). When looking for places of worship, there are a few to choose from nearby depending on denomination, including United, Anglican, Presbyterian, Buddhist, Lutheran, and more.

Sunnidale Park is a beautiful large park nearby with a huge playground, paths, and picnic area.
